Aloo ki Tahari
Try this lovely Aloo ki tahari or tahiri recipe and spice up your rice today. This recipe of Aloo ki tahari or tahiri is very simple to make yet very yummy in taste. Eat with mint-yogurt dip and fresh veggies salad and achar.
Ingredients
- Oil 1 cup
- Onion 1 medium
- Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
- Tomato 2 small
- Green Chili 5-6
- Red Chili Powder 1 tbsp
- Turmeric Powder ½ tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Potato 2 - 3 Medium
- Water - as required
- Rice 500gms (soaked for 30 mins)
Method
-In a pot, add oil and onion,saute a little.
-Add ginger garlic paste and saute well.
-Add tomatoes,Green Chili and give it a good mix.
-Add salt,red chili powder and turmeric powder,mix it
-Now add potatoes (half boiled), mix it and add water,bring it to a boil.
-Add water 2 cups, cover on low flame for 5 -10 mins.
-Add rice (soaked for 35 - 45 mins), mix it and cook on high flame until water dries up.
-Now cover & steam cook for 10 mins.
-Serve Aloo ki tahiri with kabab & salad, raita.
